Every December, we set aside time to reflect. As we think back on all the firm has experienced in the past twelve months, we’re prouder than ever.
Milestones
For Mayo | Hill, 2023 marked a milestone for our firm: its fifth anniversary. In 2018, Michael Mayo and Michael Hill created the firm, and its success over the last five years is undeniable. The growth the team has seen in its first half a decade has already merited a larger office. In addition to the team growing in numbers, we’ve also increased our offerings. With a varied practice – ranging from real estate to personal injury and more – we can meet the needs of a larger client base.
In addition to our firm’s milestone, 2023 also brought the one-year anniversary of our real estate practice. Katie Berg joined Mayo | Hill in February 2022 and established our real estate department. Since this department’s inception, thousands of transactions have been successfully handled, countless homeowners have completed their closings with ease, and our firm has been able to increase its involvement in various organizations in our community.
October marked Jake Wilkes’s first anniversary at Mayo | Hill. Jake is hardworking and passionate, and his willingness to learn more about our practice areas has brought him both invaluable success and experience.
Attorney Cameron Woodward celebrated his second work anniversary at Mayo | Hill in June, and he continues to help the firm move forward as our Director of Data Analytics. Through Cameron’s research and commitment to helping Mayo | Hill be a “21st Century Law Firm,” our entire team has been able to leverage technology more effectively as we support our clients.
Recognition
For the third year in a row, Mayo | Hill was recognized as the “Best” in our community. In 2021, the Best of the Best contest named Mayo | Hill as the “Best Law Firm” in Macon. In 2022, the contest was rebranded to Best of Middle Georgia, and Mayo | Hill once again received the “Best Law Firm” title. We were thrilled when we were named “Best Law Firm” in this competition for the third year in a row this year. We’re aiming for a FOURTH title in 2024. An extra special “thank you” to the members of our community who have voted for us!
Additionally, we received the title of “Regional Winner” in the Personal Injury Firms category in the Best of Georgia contest. This is also the third year in a row we’ve been recognized in the Best of Georgia competition.
Results
The most important and rewarding achievement for our team in 2023 has been the success we’ve had on behalf of our clients. Each day, we come to work ready to serve our clients and to give them our very best. In 2023, as in every year since our firm began, we have been successful in achieving exceptional outcomes for clients.
In April alone, our founding partners, Michael Mayo and Michael Hill, each received seven-figure settlements in medical malpractice cases. This is just one example of the many successful results we received in 2023.
