MICHAEL E. MAYO

Practice Areas:

Truck/Car Accidents

Medical Negligence

Michael devotes his practice to helping individuals harmed by the negligence of others. He has handled cases against commercial trucking companies, financial institutions, insurance companies, and medical groups. Michael began his career as a criminal defense attorney to gain valuable experience in the courtroom. After obtaining considerable trial success, Michael transferred to civil practice with Martin Snow, LLP, one of the oldest large firms in Georgia. Michael represented insurance companies and their insureds in car wreck cases for years. While working for the insurance companies, Michael learned the systems and methods used by insurance companies and adjusters to lower the payouts to those injured by the negligence of others. Michael successfully tried numerous jury trials to a defense verdict before being named Partner at Martin Snow, LLP. Michael credits his mentors at Martin Snow, LLP for their invaluable training and example.

Michael now uses his knowledge and experience to help individuals achieve the best result from the insurance companies. Michael has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of those harmed by others, including a single trial verdict and recovery in state court over $1.6 Million and a recent win in federal court totaling more than $9.6 Million. He has successfully defended his verdicts on appeal. Michael has represented the families of those killed by another’s negligence and obtained large confidential settlements. He is experienced in mediation and arbitration, as well, and he routinely advises clients on the benefits and risks of litigation. In cases of great importance or interest, Michael serves as lead litigation counsel for various corporations and businesses in the State of Georgia.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, working outside, golfing, hunting, fishing, traveling, college football, and reading.
