Fresh Start for Deserving Client
In this case, Jake was able to assist a former service member who found themselves in need of legal services. Jake’s diligent work on the case was noteworthy, but even more impressive was Jake’s willingness to assist his client in getting him the help he needed to regain control of his life. Jake shared that working with this client and being able to help him in this way was “very rewarding.”
Favorable Outcome in Wrongful Death Case
Mayo | Hill was retained by a family member of a decedent who had suffered negligence which resulted in wrongful death. Jake, along with Mayo | Hill co-founder Michael Mayo, received a favorable result on her behalf. When discussing the positive outcome of this case, Jake stated that he was able to put himself in the client’s shoes and better understand the impact the incident had on her life. He was proud that Mayo | Hill helped her get the “outcome she deserved.”
Client Compensated after Motor Vehicle Accident
Jake handled a motor vehicle accident case recently. His client was out of work due to the injuries sustained as a result of the accident. Through Jake’s diligence in representing his client, the individual was compensated appropriately for both their injuries and lost wages.
Court of Appeals Victory
Jake, along with Mayo | Hill co-founder Michael Mayo, received word earlier this month about a Court of Appeals victory. The brief for this case was the first brief Jake worked on after joining Mayo | Hill in October 2022. Michael and Jake were able to win at the trial level and then received the decision in their favor at the Court of Appeals level in March 2024. Jake stated this most recent victory was a “full circle moment for me that I am very proud of.”
