Mayo | Hill Co-founder Michael Hill Receives $1M Settlement for Client

Michael Hill, Mayo | Hill attorney and co-founder, recently settled a case for $1,000,000. 

Michael Hill represents the family of an individual killed in a logging truck accident in December 2020. Mayo | Hill was retained by the family in June 2021.  At the time of the accident, the logging truck involved left the scene. Initially, investigating officers determined the deceased was at fault for the accident. After our firm was retained, our attorneys were able to determine the identity of the logging truck’s driver, as well as his employer. Our team also located an independent witness to the accident who informed us that the logging truck did not have operable lights nor the required flags or strobe lights on the logs being hauled.  

Because of the diligent work of Michael Hill and our team, we were able to recover $1,000,000 in policy limits within four months of being retained. It is also noteworthy that this is only a partial settlement.
