Co-founder of Mayo | Hill, Michael Mayo, has been named to the 2021 “On the Rise” list.
Daily Report is the most well-known legal periodical in the state of Georgia. Each year, Daily Report publishes an “On the Rise” list of the state’s top 20 lawyers under the age of 40. This list is part of the publication’s annual Georgia Legal Awards. The group of lawyers represented include some of the brightest and most successful in their field. We’re excited to announce our very own Michael Mayo has been named to this prestigious list for 2021.
The “On the Rise” list honorees are chosen by Daily Report’s editorial staff, along with a panel of attorneys. The individual who nominated Michael Mayo stated, “Michael and the firm have recovered millions of dollars for their clients and continue to work on complex cases. The firm has grown… and will likely continue to grow to meet the continuing needs of its clients.”1
Michael Mayo, the only attorney on the list who practices outside of Atlanta, had this to say about the honor:
“It is difficult to determine exactly why the Daily Report chose to bestow this honor, but I’m proud to accept it. I suppose the award comes as a result of the hard work demonstrated by our entire firm and not just me alone. So, I accept it on their behalf as well. Looking at the list of other honorees, I see “Big Law” partners at global firms and the recently selected Court of Appeals Judge who previously served as the Solicitor General for the State of Georgia. All of the honorees are impressive in their own right. I’m proud to be mentioned alongside such bright minds, and I’ll continue to work hard to prove worthy of the designation.”
