This month, we continue our series spotlighting the members of the Mayo | Hill staff. We’re excited to introduce you to Shatara Moye, legal assistant to Michael Hill.
Shatara has been part of the Mayo | Hill team since January 2018, right after the firm opened. In her role as Michael Hill’s legal assistant, Shatara is responsible for supporting Michael as he works on his clients’ cases. She prepares documents, handles scheduling appointments and calls, and keeps client files organized and up to date. She also communicates directly with clients and prides herself on providing top-notch customer service.
Shatara is not only hardworking, reliable, and a self-starter, she’s also kind, compassionate, and easy to work with. She genuinely likes people and that shines through as she communicates with clients who are going through very difficult seasons in their lives.
She began her career as a legal assistance in 2011. At her previous employer, she met and worked for Michael Hill. In Shatara’s words, she was “honored and grateful” that Michael asked her to join him at Mayo | Hill in 2018.
According to Michael Hill, “Shatara is an amazing legal assistant and an asset to my practice. She has been with me since I became a lawyer and over the years has shown herself to be hardworking, honest, and thoughtful. I consider her a family member and cherish the relationship we have.”
Outside of her work at Mayo | Hill, Shatara enjoys sharing her Christian ministry, spending time with family and friends, reading, and staying active through line dancing, tennis, and travel.
